Accreditation

The Leelanau Children's Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Family Support America, which requires that we conduct regular and intensive self studies and annual reports. Accreditation ensures that LCC meets the highest quality standards.

LCC is the only early childhood program in Leelanau County, and one of the few in Northern Michigan to be accredited.

Is LCC Licensed?

Yes, the Leelanau Children's Center is licensed by the Michigan Department of Human Services, which requires regular inspections by the Health Department, Fire Inspector and program monitors.

Accolades

LCC has won two Michigan Governor’s Awards for Quality and has been recognized as a State and National Exemplary Program by both the Michigan Children’s Trust Fund and the Center for Social Policy in a project funded by the Doris Duke Foundation.
