Our Board

Board members are nominated with the intention of building a diverse and representative Board - diverse in background, experience and expertise, as well as representative of the various communities LCC serves.

The Leelanau Children’s Center Board of Directors provides oversight and fundraising support to LCC programs. The Board is comprised of 8-15 parents and community members who agree to serve 3-year terms. The LCC calendar year is from September 1st to August 31st. To reflect the communities LCC serves, the Board makes every effort to seat LCC parents from around the area, teachers from the county’s public schools, and a variety of community members.

Leelanau Children’s Center Board members are expected to attend meetings, participate in committees, spreading the LCC word among their communities, friends, and family. And finally, LCC Board members are expected to help LCC maintain our high-quality programs by sharing their perspectives on our work.

Our Board meets on the fourth Monday of every other month with the addition of an August meeting.
